Just a random thread to find out peoples insurance. I'm 17 and my insurance for my unmodified MK1 Punto R reg 1,242cc 8 Valve 60S is almost 2 grand. i just think thats alot im just curious to see what other members quotes are.

im sure your get it much cheaper than that...

i insured my punto sporting 16v for £1800 at 17 last year.

this year im insured on a punto diesel for £2200.

this week im insured on a punto 55 for £1400.

next week im insuring a uno turbo for £3150

im 18 now but the quotes still go on me as 17 if i wana keep the no claims bonus iv built up.

you should get insurance on a 1.2 60 for alot less than 2k.

That is alot but its good to hear you have insurance even if it is extremely high.

I am 36, I have a Seicento Schumacher, full NCB and fully comp is £166 for me. Possibly one of the only good things about getting older LOL.

Mine is £119 per year fully comp for a 1998 60S - but then again I am older (38) and been driving since before you were born (bah humbug, etc, etc):):)

try living in manc mate, its just as bad:bang:

i was in the same boat, i mean it doesnt really matter where you live, its age and it takes the ****
alot of it is where you live my brother is 20 and just pass hes tested and lives near watford i sold him my old 1.2 punto and he got insurance for £1000
my insurance on my 1.4punto on my own would be £3900 so i fort i would see what it would be if i lived where he does and it went down to £1400 the bit that takes the **** is that me and him both say the car is more at risk of being nick where he lives then in tottenham where i live

Equivalent of £342 for the coupe (full protected NCB), £300 for the punto (FC, 1yr NCB) ... Admiral Multicar...both with commuting & limited business use, up to 4k miles a year on each...ah the benefits of being female and mid 30s, albeit high risk area

my mk2b first year of driving was £2000 and im in my second year, ive had a crash which was my fault only wrote my drivers door off and its now moddified lowered, alloys etc now its £2400 am 18 and thats on a 1.2 8v

3rd party, fire and theft - quote for 900. Im 19 with no claims bonus...

girlfriend has 2 years no claims, shes 19 and her quote is 490 i think

mk2b 1.2 8v cost me £1600 fc for the first year now am 19 (was 18 when started the policy) gone down to a £1000 fc. . thast with 1years ncb

My insurance has gone up each time in the last 3 years, it's nuts.

24, 5 years NCB, 1.2 8V mk2 and £420 TPFT

If I moved back in the south it would be £275ish. Northern car crime ftl.
