Hi there

Do the front wings on the 1995 MK1 Punto just simply bolt on, or is there some spot welding too?

Cheers(y)

bolt on .. theyre a biyatch though about 14 bolts easy enough but time consuming

Ah right. Cheers mate, thats made things easier for me. Will give it a shot.

Do you know if you have to take the front bumper off or anythin to get the some of the bolts? or are they all pretty easy to get to?

Cheers

the front wings just bolt on, you have to take out inner wings which is just using a cross head screwdrive. if its the passenger side its a pain in the arse theres 2 bolts which hold wing to front bumper and one or two hidden behind the horn and the water bottle i found taking horn off was easier than fannying about trying to get past it, you also need to take out indicator which is just held in by a spring in the engine compartment an then the headlight which is also just bolted in, there all 10mm bolts... id take the wheel off two

Cheers mate. Sounds like i'm lucky that its the drivers side that needs replacing...phewwww.... ;) I'll have too have a play with it at the weekend and see what happens.

Cheers

Apologies for keeping on asking questions, but id rather get as much info as i can form people with experience. I've had a look under there and it looks as if there are some brackets attached to the wings themselves. Its hard to tell cos its quite rusty under there, hence why i want to replace it. I just wanna know what im looking for when taking it off, so my question now is: is the wing just literally a sheet of metal or are there brackets and stuff connected to it. In the pic attached, the bracket that the headlamp is bolted to looks as if it is attached to the wing when you look on the inside of the wing. Is it?

Thanks for your patience people, i just dont wanna dive in and screw it up! :worship:
