iv got a sporting mk1 16v and im wondering what would be the best parts 2 buy for my punto to make it a bit quicker iv got a filter and back box but i want it a little quicker as my g/f just bought a saxo vtr mk1 and i dont wonna be put to shame if u get me any comments are apretiated thanks(y)

stay away from cheap mods such as these resistors and certainly the electric superchargers etc

get a decent full exhaust, your backbox probably adds zero power as it is and make sure your filter can get lots of nice cold air.

oh yeh i no ma back box is just some cheap **** but it come with the car so i thought i would leave it on but ma g/f's saxo is only 3/4 cars away from on strights but thats 2 far lol and all i get is haha my cars faster

has any 1 here used a gsr induction kit :) are they any good iv just been on the site and they look ace but what bhp would i get from both induction kit and the re-mapp (sporting 1.2 16v mk1) thanks

ive not used a gsr but they do seem highly rated,

im guessing that intercooler is a photoshop in your sig then?

:D yeh i was learning how to photoshop then put that on so if i got a gsr set up i should see around 100bhp(y)

Strip out backseats/carpets linings/spare wheel/ etc etc.

Weight loss makes you faster, more bhp per ton(y)

youd get more bhp per ton gain from a gsr and remap than you would loosing rear seats etc plus youd still have a useable car at the end of it.

the effects of bore wash are scrapped bores and eventually the oval effect of the bore will become worse as the rings are goin to scrap more as oil is 'washed' from the bore.

they are also stripped down and rebuilt every time they are used.

And their live cycles are comparatively low. These engines wouldn't last an average school run.

@ me53350 - You clearly have only max power wisdom and no practical experience. For your own sake I can only advise you to listen and take the advice given. On this froum are quite a few people who do know what they are talking about and there is no need to argue with them (=spamming). Quite a few of us have worked in all parts of the automotive industries ranging from servicing to repairs, from research to development and performance tuning to racing.
