I have a P reg Punto and i have a serious problem with it. I have a problem with it starting, intermitant fault. When i turn the key on you should here the fuel pump surge and the relay click, this does not always happen and i have turn the key on and off serval times until i hear the surge and the relay activate. Please can someone help me :bang:

i am a damzel in distress who can help me sort out this anoying problem . sometimes she starts first turn then other times she takes several attempts. when you put the key in ignition, the fuel pump ,does not always power up,

but as soon as you hear the surge, and the relay click she starts.:bang:
has anybody else had this problem.

Mine did similar recently, I ignored it until it was time for the AA, In my case it was the damp getting to the starter motor, if your does it more when its cold and wet then i'd assume its the same, cost a tenner for my local garage to sort it
