hi im thinking of putting a 1.4 gt engine into my 1.2 sporting
is there any one out there that could tell me if it will fit strait in.
my mate has smashed his gt so i can get all the bits cheap.
is it worth doing or will it be a nightmare.

It should fit in ok, but im not to sure how hard it will be or cost to do, but a turbo transplant will send your insurance sky high, ask Puntoboy i think he has done it?

Easy peasy as long you have the tols, space and time.

Everything is bolt on. No fabrication or drilling needed.

My insurance didn't go up that much, as my car was already heavily modified. But how old are you?

im 22 so dont think it will go up that much well i hope.

Engine loom and iginition loom. You can keep the rest even the fusebox.

You're car looks like a sporting from that tiny pic so I assume you can C/L and E/L.

I do indeed. So far I've converted my 55s to a complete GT, a 1.2 cabriolet to a GT and a 60s to a GT.
