Hi there to anyone who reads this and can helpI have a Fiat Punto '97 Turbo Diesel SX. It runs fine, that is until I take it out on the motorway. I can get it up to speeds of 80 - 85mph and if I push the accelerator any further the Turbo warning light kicks in. I've been told that the Turbo unit is overcharging and can be tweaked so that its chrging pressure isn't so great. I took it to a mechanic but he couldn't find the turning screw that was supposed to be somewhere by the turbo unit to turn the pressure down. Someone else has told me that this screw is located elsewhere on diesel engines. Any idea where? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Sabretooth.

You should not turn any screws or play with the turbo if you dont know what you are doing, can cause bad results. Sounds to me as if the waste gate on the turbo is ceased or sticking..

Thats fine should only be travelling 70mph anyway ;)
