Just fitted them this morning....

They were a lot easier than i thought to fit!
you dont need to take the dials apart either, just got some wires to run down and connect up!
All i need now is my drivers license

LOL....I wondered when these were gonna start becoming more common on the non GT's
The thing that puts me off them is the 'VISUAL PERFORMANCE' along the bottom...that'd irritate me.

yeh i,ve had mine 4 some months now, & they are a doddle 2 fit just slip them over needles & pegs. i have 2 admit they do look pretty impresive at night

Did you not have to do wiring on yours? them dials dont work off the lights behind the old one theyve got some sort of stuff built into them which light up like that, you have to fit a trasformer and all that, this one also has a switch where u can turn it between green/blue and a dimmer switch, still easy to fit though!

There called Plasma dials normally...the first batch with mph were made a while back especially for a guy on PSC who did a group buy of 50 sets.
The transformer is to give the voltage required for the EL...if I remember rightly the amount of volts you pass across the stuff they are made out of gives different colours...so the switch just changes the voltage level.

Very snazzy, especially when lit up!

yes but the wiring iz adoddle aswell

right im confused. i would love them in my car yeah but what do i need, do i need the dial kit and bulbs? and screws or what, in the guide there is a couple of pics of dials. can i just blow these up and use these or di i need proper ones and where can i get some cheap ones and what can i have with out being illegal?

you don't need bulbls or anything else

White dials and clear needles, do the needles show up OK?

question for anyone who has these: do they not look too bright at night? maybe its just the photo, but they look so bright they'd be distracting the driver from the road.

nah, i used to have brighter ones in in a civic and they were ok., those ones are reverse glow so there not as bright as some of the older ones,.,

Mine have ajustable brightness, and colour change from blue/green, so no problems there

And that green smiley thing is horrible! lol
