hello i got me a punto gt mk1 but can somebody tell me where ecu is.

i want to chip it and need code off it many thanks.

Its in the engine bay at the side, grayish box (i think) its on the passenger side..

um i cant find it i have a box on drivers side but i wouldnt call that an ecu ,im beginning to think i havent got 1 lol.

hi is that on a mk1 mine is m reg 1994 and i havent got 1 of those and my car works fine where do you think it could be???

still do you like my ssqv she sound nice.

got to do the rocker gasket next and give it all a clean because she looks crud at the moment.

they not like the 1.6 are they? 1.6 ecu is inside the car under the heater

underneath the plastic cover, u have to take the wipers off.

If its not there under black wiper scuttle, its probably right behind the stereo nearest to bulk head, nice ssqv btw..

The SEB ECU Chip, is very popular with GT owners its a direct replacement chip, they were specifically designed for the Punto GT by a company from Italy called 'Power on the Road, but you need to have a free flowing exhaust im sure and i dunno what else, then you could see a return of about 165-170bhp for more information on it though i would ask some one from here www.puntosports.co.uk

watch out for fake SEB chips being sold on ebay

As viggers pointed out the ecu is under the scuttle panel, nearside on gt's.

As for chips a few companys make them but most people go with a Seb chip from POTR including myself.

As for what chip you need depends on what GT you have 1,2 or 3 also what mods you have or plan on getting.

You will need an exhaust, air filter and boost controller at least.

What boost controllors cna you use on these cars?? Sorry off topic I know.

Manual or Electronic ? theres plenty, depends how much you want to spend.
