Recently had to replace the battery for my 2016 Punto.

After replacing my battery with a standard one, I realized that the Punto requires either an AGM or EFB battery for it's start & stop feature. However, I always keep the start & stop feature disabled.

Is it okay to use standard batteries over AGM / EFB batteries if I am not using the start & stop function? I am assuming it's okay, but just wanted to check if the special battery is required for other electrical functions as well.

A normale battery will have reduced lifespan on the car but that being said if you keep start stop disabled the difference shoud be small just be aware that if you do every enable it how well it works will be patchy
