It's my first post so just straight in with an ask for help really!

I have a 2015 Punto Easy in a 1.4 that I've had nearly 3 years now.
Since I've had it I've had a really annoying issue with the media system. I have the standard cd player system blue and me setup.

This issue only happens after approx 30 minutes of run time. After about this time it then lags. So for example, change volume it's about 5 seconds after pressing any of the buttons/turning the dial the volume changes or it just jumps up to near max. Don't even bother trying to change from radio to bluetooth etc.

This also happens if the key is removed and the engine off and is turned back on within about 10 minutes.

The problem doesn't resolve until the keys been out and engine off for at least 10 minutes.

I've tried going through the update process previously but it gets stuck at the reading process, then when I restart the process I get the as above mentioned lag so it doesn't read it at all.

Has anyone else had this issue or a similar issue?

Not an issue I’ve heard of before but it has to be said the blue and me system is terrible.

From an electronics stand point the fact it happens after using the car for a time and then needs to almost cool down for 10 minutes before it returns to normal could suggest you have a faulty component that plays up when it’s hot, but if you’re not an electrical engineer that information is likely not going to help you get to the bottom of the problem.

You could try replacing the radio with one off eBay or you might need the blue and me unit replacing (which is usually the cause of all problems) if you can live with it then I’d suggest you do until it properly fails or goes wrong, something more tangible that someone can investigate
