Hi, I haven’t had the car for long but notice the drivers wiper is hitting the side of the screen. It’s also a good bit longer than the passenger side.

Can I adjust the drivers side to stop it hitting the side of the screen?

It sounds like the arm is in the wrong place.... not simple to move.. but make a comparison with the pic below

When they are parked.. it should look similar to this ..

The grubbly line is where the black plastic trim will be

No problem..

Basically the wiper arm just slips onto this spline.. and is then pinched in position by the M8 nut

Undoing (slackening.. but not removing) the nut and wriggling the fixed part of the wiper arm can get it free

Thet are often removed when changing a windscreen.. so could have been poorly positioned after

Thanks Charlie, I’ll take a look tomorrow. I’m dying to get in about the car and have a good look at what’s what but the weather and festive season have got in the way and the best I’ve done is give “Pops” a t cut, polish and wax!
Then I managed to spill a litre of milk in the rear footwell ��
Luckily a local valeter sorted that out for me with a couple of hours so fingers crossed it’s ok.

Look closely at the windscreen you should see some locating marks where the wipers should fit

That's the way it should be the drivers side should be longer to maximize the cleared area for the driver

If you look carefully.. the drivers arm is almost straight..
The passengers has a crank halfway along it

What did you find?

Hi sorry for delay. It would appear that I’ll have to adjust the drivers side ever so slightly. It’s obviously been hitting the the body work as there is a small chip where the plastic end of the wiper is hitting the car. I’m not sure how to post a picture but going by the ones posted the gap is pretty much ok.
Thanks for all your help folks, much appreciated. I’ll try the adjustment and confirm if it’s worked.....when the windscreen thaws out!
