Hi,

So basically my gearbox is banjo'd and needs replaced.
The search function on this forum is so broken but I did try!

It is a 2013 1.2 petrol (8v - 5 Speed).

Does anyone have any good sources for a replacement. I'm thinking brand new is not worth the expense (and I can't afford it anyway) so refurbed might be the way to go.

Any good/trustworthy sources out there I should be looking for?

Crashed fiat 500 should be easy to find
May be worth getting new bearings fitted before installing the box seems to be a weak point on the 1.2 fire gearboxes

So the Fiat 500 or Alfa Mito 1.2 gearbox will fit a 2013 Punto 1.2 8v?

Thank you for the links. Is there anywhere I can find it written in stone that the gearbox of the Mito/500/Grande will fit this 2013 model Punto?

I would rather not take the risk as I don't want to pay a mechanic for fitting it only to find there is a problem.

Is the part no. what I need? I can't seem to find that anywhere even!

There's a company, in Bolton I think, that specialises in reconditioning Punto gearboxes. They sell from their own websote and on Ebay. They've been around a few years now, and their presentation looks good.
