Hi Everyone, i hope you can help please? i currently have a Fiat Punto 63 plate called precious, (please don't judge). In the last two weeks a very loud rumbling noise can be heard when in first and second gear and slightly in third. I have visited three garages and have been told, 1 its the thrust bearing clutch and 2 and 3 it's the gearbox. I have been quoted £740. to replace !! my questions are: is it worth it? and how long do i have till it fails completely

Hi Charlie,Thank you for replying. No noise in reverse and its a 1.2. i have broken down recently, I Couldn't get any gears left or right and had to have a linkage replaced? not sure if that connected?
