So I've already put a post up about my cars issues (Don't know how to paste a link). After a forced regen, just under a week ago, my car has done another one today. The revs drop to zero, the car stalls and starts again and becomes really difficult to drive. Injectors reading were taken while being driven and all 4 were wrong. Injectors removed and tested, and all readings came back within range. So no obvious fault with injectors. No problems with the car except for these regen issues. Any ideas?

I have a video showing the eratic revs and huge vibration but it won't upload.

Does the DPF itself BREATHE EASILY

If its been too badly choked.. then it may not clear properly.

The REDNECK method of removing the filter and backflushing all the sooty debris out
May well be better value than hundreds in TESTS with no clear outcome.

There are sensors around the filter.. worth checking they are working properly too.

The filter isn't clogged and hasn't been. There are no warning lights (had one a year ago) telling me to keep driving in order for the car to complete it's regen. There are no fault codes. If my dpf filter was blocked or full, i would have a dash warning and it would show on diagnostics. It's showing nothing!

Remind me again, what engine and how many miles its done?

Cars with DPF's usually have sensors measuring increased back pressure upstream of the DPF.
Any problems in this area or with the sensor itself could be causing your issues?

1.3 miltijet and 31000 miles. As far as I know, pressure is fine. The first garage got readings saying that there was too much pressure? But when he checked it, pressure was fine. He did get all the readings wrong though. Maybe the software wasn't up to date or something. Other garages readings all matched each other's. Could this be an erg problem? I don't understand why it is regenerating so often and acting so dramatic when it's doing it! If it weren't for these regen problems, my car would be absolutely fine. I have noticed though, that sometimes the car hunts when I turn it on in the morning but I put this down to the injectors being taken out and put back in. Problem is, if I do have a faulty injector, the garage can't pin point which one. A new set of 4 is going to cost a minimum of £1000 at a local garage.

A faulty dpf sensor that’s giving intermittent readings could be triggering a regen at random intervals but unless you have it plugged in all the time you might not catch these types of fault when doing a plug in diagnostics.
I’m afraid it’s very much clutching at straws now any probably beyond anyone on here being able to help

Im hoping to get it fixed rather than get rid. Its a good little car usually! It's just my luck it will be something easily fixed and I scrap it. I will be sticking with petrol from now on! When I bought it, I'd never even heard of a dpf filter. They seem to cause more hassle than good.
