Preparing for a decent run last weekend,
Cardiff to Dundee to Oxford ( 1070 miles = 52.6 mpg)

had a quick peek under the bonnet..
all A1 - as it has been fro the last 5.5 years:worship:

however - I was intrigued to compare the gearchange cables to my shonky MJ ones.. so had a lean over the rear of the engine / g-box

the cable area looked "damp" , - it was - "oily"

wiped over a few items,
and then working forward realised it stopped at a "mushroom" on the top of the g-box.. near clutch slave.

this appeared "loose" .. but just spun.. couldn't be loosened / tightened..

so am guessing it's some form of breather.. but never seen it before..

anybody had similar..?
