Re: Twin air - check engine & extra warning light.

Standard bulbs all round. LED strips in the rear clusters for tail lights.

think the LED driver board on the N/S/R smelt a bit burned out when I looked last year - but it's working OK.

Can't bring mysels to shell out for a new unit for the sake of a 5p SMD transistor I can't get to.

The new unit would only fill mith mist and do the same?

What a shame a good green Punto being parted for spares.

Re: Twin air - check engine & extra warning light.

The elm327 arrived today along with the adapters. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-FIAT-D...336933fff75119

When I sussed the config The software said I need to register to use it & would only run simulation. Was using the green adapter.. not sure that's right.

Waiting on a laptop as this setup ain't too easy

Re: Twin air - check engine & extra warning light.

Got it wrong...
http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx
The green block is for the interface (eg elm327) (not the green adapter). The red box with A3 denotes which colour adapter A3 (yellow adapter).

Will try again tomorrow lol.

That's better than thinking simulation was read only non licenced version + looking to fix non real codes p068a-86 and b0110-15

Nope the mes free version will not connect to any module on my Punto twin air. It tells me which colour adapter I need but every function ends like this

Re: Twin air - check engine & extra warning light.

However I can connect with the panda abs & engine ECUs. Even delete a code. But not the panda power steering ECM. That's restricted to registered version.

Re: Twin air - check engine & extra warning light.

Ok just noticed the note on message about ECUs in black are supported by the free version, but in red are not... So almost nothing is covered for Punto ta in the free version.

Best hurry up and get a laptop.

have to stand on my own two feet

Just noticed that the single licence can be transfered to other PCs up to 10 times. "The License Transfer function has a limitation of 1 transfer per month and a total of 10 transfers."

maybe have a go at registering tonight when the kids have settled.

Any laptop running Windows XP or later will work OK. It does not hve to be expensive, I've even used one I got for nothing on Freecycle.

Re: Twin air - check engine & extra warning light.

Hi,
Don't panic or jump to conclusions Check for loose connectors on the ECU and body computer first. At least unplug and re-plug them. Then clear the codes and see if they come back. If they come back you need to look at the engine parameters like mass air flow and boost pressure. MES will record parameters while you go for a test drive.
