I took the head unit out of place to try to add aux into the back of the unit, however it wasn’t the right one, the head unit won’t turn on now even with the ignition and won’t fit back into the place, it sticks about 20 Mm, any help people?

I was going to try add the aux cable to it too. I can’t get the radio out with the radio keys, it’s just stuck in.

Can you take the radio back out and see if you have all the wiring in and not causing an obstruction? You could also disconnect the -ve battery terminal and leave it a bit then see if that works.

I just use a Bluetooth FM transmitter set to button No. 6 at 100FM and when I get in the car my phone connects to Blue&Me and the FM transmitter, and to change song it has a button on it that you double press - just as easy as having an aux [emoji1360]

This is it: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Blu...layer-AC590-/152901370831?hash=item2399a1c3cf

Yeah it’s out and all wires are connected but now I can’t get it back in and the radio won’t turn on? Do you know what else is the problem and I have just bought the item you have suggested but does it work without blue and me?

Yeah, you can use it without blue & me. You can just connect your phone to this and answer phonecalls with the FM transmitter if you want to, but you wont be able to use the steering wheel controls to accept and decline a phone call.

When I get in the car and start it up, my phone connects to the FM transmitter and Blue&Me automatically, and the music actually starts to play by itself which is great. Then if a call comes in I have it that it comes in through Blue&Me instead of the FM transmitter as I like to be able to use the stering wheel controls. But the choice is yours.

I find its no hassle at all using this, apart from when you click the button on the top of it and then knock it out and then it disconnects :bang: But you just put it back in and it connects back to your phone again automatically.

I use it to listen to music on Spotify and its brilliant, had it for about 2 years now.

Not sure what else the problem could be re: your radio, have you checked to see of the fuse isn't blown? Or have you maybe snapped a wire?

If you're still stuck its probably best to take it to the garage to get the fiat guys looking at it (will probs be pricey though).

Hope you have it sorted quickly and cheaply :)

Hi, if not fixed yet, I have the solution I think.

Try push the wires as far in as you can, even tape them together. If the wire blocks the hole at the back, the radio will not fit in as on the back of the radio there is a long black plastic part (see on image).

See the images attached for a better perspective.

Not sure as to why it’s not turning on though.
