I recently brought a new punto ? it's a 2004 model and when I turn the side lights on I get a warning light on the dashboard, I've looked at all my lights and it all seems okay and I'm not sure what is up with it

Hi, and welcome, :)
sounds like you have a punto Mk2 / B , and the incorrect wattage rear brake light bulbs, ( they are / should be an unusual wattage);)
