Technical Engine change or tune?

To be honest I am not really technically minded and wondered whether tuning a 1.4 punto would provide a noticeable change in power or is it worth trying to replace the engine with a bigger lump or change the car all together?.. thanks in advance for your time.

what car are we talking here.??
2012 Grande bodied Punto with a 1.4 - normally aspirated.

it's a shopping car.. the AGP is a fair bit quicker..
but still not exactly a rocket.

IF you want faster - buy a faster car
