Technical I think my 1.2 punto easy drinks more fuel than It should

Hi all (I don't know a thing about cars btw) I've recently bought a fiat punto easy 1.2 2013 plate and I feel like I spend more money on fuel than I should be. I used to have a 2006 1.2 fiat punto grande, only cost me £10 a week on petrol (I only drive to work and back with occasional small trips) and in my new punto I seem to be spending about £20 a week. Doing the same amount of driving that I used to do! Is this normal?

Hard to say for sure without accurate MPG figures.
Sign up for an account at http://www.fuelly.com and register your fill ups on there (make sure you're actually filling the tank or the calculations won't work). That'll give you an accurare readout.

Saying that, the body computer should give an average consumption reading, if you press the button on the right stalk one of the readouts should be average consumption?

Yeah, I agree with the above.

Have a look at the trip readings, if you can jot down the mpg, average speed and distance for the A trip and the same again for the B trip, then post them on here.

It should be relatively easy to see if anything is a bit odd with the figures.

check your tyre pressures..

then let us know what the trip computer says your MPG is,
