So i just bought a punto lounge couple days ago, and i was stuck in traffic and i got the warning Clutch overtemperature i called my fiat dealer and he told me not to keep on the first gear for so long and i have to keep shifting between the N gear and the first gear till traffic is gone.. so any advices about this?

The clutch sounds as if its being "ridden"

If you are having to rest your foot on the accelerator to stop the car rolling back..that is the issue.

See if just using the handbrake helps it get an easier life. Charlie
 
To avoid embarassing moments at traffic lights ( where just as they turn to green ,at the instant the gearbox returns to neutral and starts beeping ) I would always ,or nearly always, tend to change back to neutral when waiting at lights, so taking the load off the clutch ,tending to keep it a bit cooler. Saves the HP pump too.

Im surprised it still drags with ZERO throttle input..
