Hi everyone...
we are about to buy a new Punto easy with tomtom nav and a dual logic transmission from our local dealer on runout for about 8800 euro. its "rock n roll blue?"

we havent signed the deal yet but are there any good options/ acessories that we should try and get thrown in on the deal?
Im thinking that the dark paint could benefit from some front mudflaps? Has anyone bought any non Fiat mudflaps on ebay for instance that work well?

also whats a good budget source for roof racks? need to carry a small kayak every now and then.

thanks in advance. :)

Hi EasyPunto,

I bought a new Punto Easy+ in January and I am over the moon with it. I have a 1.2 manual in Black. To be honest mine was a bit of a distress purchase as my previous car died and I needed a replacement quickly.

Being an Easy+ mine is really well specified with lots of standard kit so I don't know if there are spec differences between the UK and New Zealand that mine has that yours may not. Mudflaps maybe a good shout as I find with mine being black it shows up everything but I havent bought any - I just wash it every week much to the annoyance of my wife!

Cant really help on the roofrack I am afraid as I have never had the need to use one.

I am sure you will enjoy it. Get some pics up in the Members Motors thread when you get it.

Wol.

It's lovely with a 1.2 petrol engine

the white looks nice... Unfortunatley as they are on run out i only had a choice of black or the almost black blue.. i figured the blue would be easier to colour match than the metallic black in a few years when we need to touch up the stone chips/parking scrapes.
our easy 1.4 has cruise, alloy wheels, tom tom sat nav elec windows...not sure about hill hold.

Yeah there really nice cars it's got Hill stop everything start stop as well now on the new punto

when I ordered mine there was only Red and White left..I wanted the dark blue,:(
but the wait meant another £4000 so I went for a RED one from stock, ;)
it's now 3 years old, and has been great.(y)

the Dualogics are a strange thing.., :)

work fine - but drive a little "differently", the cars ECU blipping the throttle on downshift - a trait from the Alfa's:D

Charlie - 6 speed manual - Twinair (875cc Turbo) with Climate and Cruise

the hill hold works..LOL

any recomendations on floor mats? should i go genuine or are ther decent quality aftermarket ones available?

I got genuine Fiat ones when I bought my Punto. They fit well with the front ones mounting on the studs in both footwells. The rear ones have Velcro on the underside to keep them in place which I thought was a nice touch.

I bought my Easy 1.4 in 2012. I ordered it with cruise and genuine flaps front and rear. They fit well.

It came with dealer mats that were basically cheap and nasty (Stoneacre).
I bought front and rear mats from the fiat online shop and they are better and at least fit properly..

I fitted the flaps myself which allowed me to take the opportunity to put cavity wax behind all the wheel arch liners.
