Fiat Punto 56 plate will not start when turning ignition as immobilisor has activated preventing the car from starting up. Any clues were the fault could be? Have used both set of keys without success albeit car may start if it feels like it.

Hi, and welcome to FF,
your car is actually a Grande Punto if 2006,
same tech though,
there is an aerial that READS the chip in the key,
however easiest to double check the cars battery, and earth connections 1st

Can you clarify 'does not start'. Does it turn over and not fire or not even turn over?
