Technical towbar fitting Punto Easy 2012

Hi all.

Anyone got a thread link for fitting a towbar and the bypass electrics to a Punto Easy. no reversing sensors. Really wondering where people took a live feed from for the relay. Also how did you splice the wiring into the harness.

it's the CANBUS control element that needs extra thought / care..,

YOU MUST USE A 7 WAY MULTIPLEX RELAY DUE TO THE PULSED LED SIGNAL FOR THE TAIL LIGHTS!


colours are different tho if i get chance this week i will pull the carpet back on mine and check but all could be found with a multi meter

as for live feed remove passenger *(uk) door foot trim pull off bonnet handle remove side kick trim theres a BIG live cable under there which is used on high spec evos for the boot fuse box i tapped into that

Thanks very much. Andy Monty Is the big red cable a permanent live? Do you know if all the wires come down one side of the boot? I have the 7 way bypass relay. I just wish to know the best way to tap into the harness. Current thoughts are bare a few mm of the wire and solder in. anyone have a wiring diagram as PDF or similar for colours?

I soldered mine... I run 2 cores to the right hand side for right indicator and side light

I was all smug walking to my evo till I noticed fiat had changed the colours

Yes the wire is constantly live I fused it there
