Hi there

I am a new fiat punto 1.4 gbt owner and found my car comes with an inflation kit not a space saver spare wheel - there are loads of space saver wheel and kits on line - 135/80 14 yet the 4 main car tyres are 175/65 15 - Will this be okay???

I am not a mechanic but change a wheel!

Thanks

Hi, and welcome,
common question ,

the PUNTO after 2006 are NOT FIAT wheels, BUT GM / opel 4 x 100 mm bolt pattern

cheapest wheels are from the Corsa / Astra, = BUT a Grande Punto wheel will fit O.K.

Charlie

Thanks Charlie

I am a little dim! So if I pop on a 135/80 14 when one of the 4 main car 175/65 15 gets punctured would it be okay?

Hello and welcome ;)

Check you car owner handbook page 244, spare tires size are specified :
175/65 R15 84T
185/65 R15 88T

It can be bought at Fiat, ask your dealer they have 8 models (but all in 6''x15) depending on the car.

Btw, if you have picture of your car, start a small presentation thread ;)

will do - once we get it home

I got a spare wheel, jack, wheel brace and the spare wheel plastic boot indert from a scrap dealer.
Just make sure you get the correct diameter of spare wheel. Replace the tyre if required.
