Thanks for the video(y)

Interesting to hear that the Indian Punto gets hydraulic power sterring and not the usual Euro spec. It is also the only one in its class to do so.

Note sure.

Yes fiat had trouble with electric steering at start, but now all is fine.

Hydraulic steering is not more reliable (pipes can breaks, pressure pump too), it need a little bit of maintenance and its 15 years back in time !

We'll the Indians may have had trouble with the electric steering, but it's a backwards step they have taken, could be cost cutting etc,by Fiat India ,as for our Punto,s we'll it's bye bye soon I think as we are merged into 500 l ,500 mpvl, 500 x, 500 vans, etc :D

Electric steering has less feel than hydraulic - the only reason manufacturers us electric now is to save fuel.

Hydraulic steering is preferred than electric systems due to feel and weight.

Area Fiat and Alfa Romeo still teaming up with Mazda?

I really hope they are! I'm in love with Mazda's Hazumi concept, with the new Mazda 3 and planned Mazda 2 being serious good lookers. Combine that with a bit of Italian flare and you've got an absolute peach of a car.

The Arna was a Datsun Cherry with the Alfasud boxer engine.
It looks ugly, and nobody wanted to buy the car, so it soon dissapeared...

If the new Mazda MX-5 will be rebadged Alfa Romeo, I wonder what will happen...
Real Alfista will not buy it for sure.

It won't be badged an Alfa. It will be a Fiat as Alfa have now decided they don't want a model that's not built in Italy.
