i have a mk2 jtd which i've owned for 10yrs and served us well its great on fuel and has plenty of power (its remaped) but i think its time for a change

i'm looking at getting a 1-2yr old 10-15k punto twinair is there anything to look out for, how good is the aircon v climate control, service intervals/cambelt(jtd is 5yrs or 35k)

i know alot of people say the claimed mpg is unobtainable but the jtd claimed max mpg is 72mpg mine will do 75mpg with a full load at mway speeds i've read somewhere that the twin air map isn't very good and a remap increases the mpg

I find the air con to be very poor and pretty weak. You can bypass the climate and have it blasting cold air at you. The air con on my previous car a 100HP was fantastic. I think the reason for this is that the air vents are too small for the size of the car. Where as on the 100HP they were really big for a Panda. So I wouldn't bother with climate just get air con and do it yourself.

As for MPG I cant help you there as its not a priority for me and I dont look at it.

most TA's fall into the 2012 punto range, ; -)
I'm happy with mine. get @ 50 MPG average

but can still put a big grin on 'yer face when required,
the ZERO road tax is nice also ;- )

cam-chain NOT belt.. unsure of when it'll need changing.. or complexity.. but of course it's a TWIN cylinder so access generally should be o.k.,

LOTS of lightly used TA's on ebay for @£7K,
well worth a look in my opinion,

Charlie 2013 - punto TA
