Hi everybody,

I am a newbie to the site. I picked up my Punto GBT 1.4 last week and was recommended this forum by a friend and really glad I dropped in and registered. I absolutely love the new motor so far and cannot fault a thing. If anybody has any styling tips that I can add to the car it would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I have done so far is added the parrot sound kit as the car didn't come with the blue and me. I have added some pictures of the car and look forward to speaking to some of you over my time here.

Take care

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Is it meant to come with b&m then? I bought this from a Fiat dealer and they told me this model doesn't come with it!?

Verry strange

I beleive the base standard Pop doesnt come with the B+M. However pretty sure the GBT should come with the B+M as standard

A quick check shows it as an OPTION for the POP and the EASY... HOWEVER The GBT doesn't have the option to select it, and asks if you want the Sat Nav upgrade, which means it must have B+M

I'd question that futher with the Dealership

unsure..., post in the GP section,
(pretty quiet in here..!!,)

MOST GP parts are common too = tuning / etc..,

Charlie

Please dont post in the GP section, each area has it specific areas for a reason. and the reason this one is quiet is A) not many on the road & B) People posting in other areas because this is quiet.

At least Post in the EVO section which is near enough the same car and actually links back to the 2012 area!

Thanks for the replies.

I will definitely chase up the fact that I have no blue and me with the dealer tomorrow. Very weird. Like I said in my previous post; when I went and bought the car the dealer just told me it didn't come with it. I ummed and arred and said I may go for a different model then (I wasn't very clued up on what came standard etc). The dealer explained that he would throw in the parrot system with the car and have it all set up as it was very similar to the blue and me. That sold it to me. Maybe I have been duped. I may not have a GBT after all. Is it possible to have an easy model with a GBT upgrade? Maybe they put the parts (side skirts and spoiler) on to make it look like a GBT?

If that is the case, I have been seriously lied to! By a fiat dealer as well which would be pretty shocking.

Cheers

You guys would know better than me, but is it possible to tell from my pics what model I have?

Cheers bud. Mine must not be a GBT then. Surely dealers can't get away with false advertising cars.

Wow. I don't know if I am relieved or more baffled that I have no blue and me! Thanks for running that check though RuSZ. Put me at ease at least! Just strange it doesn't have that blue and me.

I will call the dealer and ask about it. See what I can get out of them.

Thanks again bud.

upon futher digging it does appear that the configurator is broken. so cant be 100%.

But it was my understanding all GBT and Sporting come with B+M. Mine is a JetBlack, which is a GBT 1.4 8V but with fancy stripes.
Andy Monty you any clue. Do GBT's come with B+M

I have been looking at car dealer websites at the GBT's (I won't mention what site in case it's not allowed) and some of the descriptions do not have blue & me in them anywhere.

It is deffo a GBT - the alloys are the giveaway, they are model specific.

And it should deffo have B&M. It's a 2012, so, see in your centre console, is there only one cup holder below the A/C controls ? And, to the right of it, is there a wee raised square that says Microsoft Windows Mobile (or something similar on it ?

And if you slide that wee raised square back, is there a USB port ? If so, you have B&M.

I note though, that it's an early 2012, so it's possible the B&M /USB connector is in the glove box like in the previous EVOs - if not on the centre console.

I can't remember how B&M is enabled/disabled, it's either an option in the car menu (use botton on the right), an option on the stereo, or you just need to install it via USB.

Have you checked the menus ?

Not all GBT's have Blue&Me. The older Punto Evo's had Blue&Me more or less across the entire range but Fiat cut the spec when they launched the 2012 Punto, so only Lounge/Sporting's have Blue&Me as standard and Easy/GBT models only get it if specced as an option or if they have the Brio Pack fitted.

If you have the Brio Pack you'll have Climate and Cruise Control plus parking sensors, along with Blue&Me. If you don't have that and Blue&Me wasn't specced as an option then it won't have it, sadly (y)

Interesting, and just noticed that it is a 61 plate, which is a VERY EARLY 2012 model car..

Didn't think of the original spec lists, but everything has changed round since then so was only remembering the more recent specs which is POP, Easy, GBT, GBT Brio, jetBlack &Sporting
