Hey guys, new to this forum

After realising that abarths are a little too expensive, I've been looking at puntos the last couple of days and found one at my local respectable dealer that is within my price range.

Its a 2010 (60 plate) 1.4T Sporting (135) in Glory White.

Just wondering what to look for really, and any things i should know?

I've already looked around and in the car, and seen the full fiat approved service history.

Test driving on Saturday :D

hello , and welcome to FF,

good solid platform, handle miles reasonably well,

what kind of price / mileage?, FIAT main dealer..??

others will give you the lowdown on the engines performance,
I would do research as to timing gear replacement , and other large service items,
Charlie

check start stop functions properly (if not demand a battery charge before collection and the request of a new battery if it doesn't work after collection)

most of this apply ignore the top 4

check the cubby holes open and shut properly and the drivers knee cubby doesn't fall off...

Check for strange noises in all gears assuming its the 6 speed box.....

check brake servo cover plate for rust

Timing belt is due at 120'000km or 5 years.

Check if reverse gear engage properly. If not ask to adjust gearbox linkage, if even not take another car.

Check springs state against rust, a few brokens reported.

Check exhaust rust if apply.

135 has a 5 gearbox.

And enjoy turbo torquy engine :yum:
