Now, from what I can see, fitting them looks like a major pain in the tits... manual suggests you need to fiddle about in an access hatch in the wheel-arch. With halogen bulbs Aye, very good

Surely there's an easier way. Anyone?

Ah-hah, only found the manual download before... that tells you to access Headlight, sidelight and indicators through the access port in the wheel arch !
