Hello,

I am thinking ordering a fiat punto easy 1.2 with brio pack, the new series range 7. What is it like to drive? Are the new seat confortable? As the seat have been upgraded. Any input in this matter would be very helpful and pictures would be great. I can't find much info online and even on fiat websites and dealer brochures are not up to date. I have been offered £9200 after the discount. Is this a good price.

Thanks.

PS: In the dealer, I drive test a pop version, they didn't have anything else available.

In England, Pymouth :) vospers is the only approved Fiat dealer in the southwest.

I have placed an order for one, they expect to arrive by the end of the month. She told me it is in transit.

When the car arrives will post pictures and anything extras I can think anyone might find useful.

Hi,
sounds good,
I knew the car was due for launch last spring - but we are usually at least 9 months behind in getting RHD cars,

what are vospers like?,
I know a "staff member" has an account on here ;),

Hey charlie,

Vospers are good with good reputation. Staff overall are very helpful and willing to help. They offer very good deal on Fiat cars specially. They have offered me a 3 years annual service pack for about £550 including free health check and courtesy car. Do you think that is good price?

God no. I took my 2002 Punto 1.2 Active with 58k on the clock to work in July. Plymouth Citybus car and commercial full service and mot for £160. Bearing in mind you won't need an mot for a while.

VW offer 3 years servicing for about £200!

Hi , as usual we don't have this in the UK yet, :(
where are you..??,
Charlie

Dont have what in the UK yet?

Brio pack is a good edition, comes with most of the extras, very similar spec car to the Jet Black. Dual Climate control & cruise control.

I've got the 2012 Jet Black, the seats a the same as the ones in the Brio and are very very comfy. they are much better than the seats that were in my previous grande Punto

Thanks rusz, hoping the car arrives end of the month or first week of next month, on the easy new series it comes with ambient lighting, fog light cornering function and of course the brio pack. The seats have been upgraded to black catiglio fabric seats, i couldn't even see one at the dealer. But they look good and very comfy. Thanks again. I will post pictures as soon the car arrives.

With regard to warranty, are you going to keep the car more than three years? The £520 is to pay for a service at 1 year (not required according to the first service schedule, your 18k service or 2 years (whatever comes first), and a 3 year service (not required according to the service handbook). In any case would you pay for a service at the end of 3 years and immediately trade it? I will not be taking it.

Regarding to the warranty, I am going to keep it for 4 years, then upgrade it. The car will be mainly for my wife anyway, but for the time being we are going to share it. In a year time from now I will be ordering a Giulietta. They will offer me a good discount on the car since I am a Fiat customer according to the sales lady. Regarding the service, I have no choice but service it through the dealer for a future part exchange. 515 pounds for 3 service, one service every year.

I've been finally given a date for collection the 11th of October. When the car comes I will post pictures in and out.

The annoying part we didn't know it was made to order, we have been told it was one of the stocks car. Maybe because we requested a series 7. If we knew it was made to order we could have had some extras added but too late now. I really wanted a front armrest, and possibly a skydrom roof, and probably upgraded the alloys wheel but still overall the staff at vospers was patient with us and still helpful. After all they have given us a good deal and a nice car spec. We couldn't match the deal anywhere else, we didn't need to haggle either.

I do have a question thought regarding the tail pipe exhaust. I have noticed on series 6 easy and series 7 easy the tailpipe is totally different. I have found the following links. Is it some extra or does it come standard? Even vospers the dealership can't tell me.

Series 7

Series 6

Utter rubbish. All you are required to do is have the car serviced iaw the manufacturers specifications. You service the car every 2 years or 18000 miles. The car can be serviced at any garage which is vat registered and you must use genuine Fiat parts to maintain the warranty.

Don't let them fleece you into a servicing package you don't need unless you have more money than sense!
