Looking for a little help!
My 2012 GBT doesn't have front fog lamps, but I want them!!

If I can find the lamps, plastic infil panels and the switch, can they be fitted and made to work?

I asked my local Fiat dealr who says that if the car didn't come with them, the "computer" can't connect with them so they won't work.

Is there anyone out there who knows if this is correct? Or who knows a way around the issue but still keeping the car looking factory?

Thanks in advance
Alan

Hello,

Nowadays it is really complicated to modify/add options to modern cars.

For fog lights, you need :

- Fogs lights (of course)
- New plastics perhaps in front bumber
- New pannel with front light switch
- Programmation of body computer to activate theses lights (if it can be done, not sure at all)
- Relay for fog light (two I think, because of cornering lights)
- Check if wire loom has wires for these lights

In other word, if your want fog light, buy a car with fog lights... :(

I looked at getting these added after buying the car pre-reg without them, as I assumed the wiring loom was already there (it used to be in other models IIRC)... my dealer told me:

S/F FRONT FOG LIGHTS: £268.84 (£90 LABOUR + £178.84 PARTS)

"Also have you checked that the wiring etc is there for the fogs as they've told me it would need a wiring loom otherwise which is around £600!!!!"

I haven't checked if the wiring is actually there or not, but I assume not given how concerned she was about it. Ha.

I was thinking about just fitting the fog lights but not bothering with wiring. I like the look of them but would only ever switch them on in fog which occurs about once a decade, hence not bothering to wire them up.

Thanks for the reply and help, but I can't find the wiring diagram that you've posted up.

Any help finding it would be of benefit (y)
