Technical ESP/Hill start problem?

If you don't have any OBD diag tool (like MultiECUScan) you have to go to dealer.

It is not possible to diagnose with a error light. This light just mean there is a problem with the module, than you have to read the module DTC to find a more precise error, and finally search it in the direction indicated.

Right! Back from the dealers, Good News/Bad news. I work at a garage so was able to check what error code came up "U1715". The Yaw sensor has gone duff so the next thing to do was check if the car has got any warrenty left. Yes it has! so I booked it in and yes they came up with the same fault and code and its covered....Result!!! BUT!.
Its within the 3 year warrenty BUT NOT the 60000 mile limit....bugger :0(
Its done 68000 so Ive rang Fiat up and told them and we'll see if we have any joy from them. Finger crossed.
Oh and its located near the gear stick/center console.

If its 2-3 years old then its a dealer warrenty not Fiat, if under 2 years then the mileage is unlimited I believe under the Fiat one.

Thx for the update ! Hope they fix your car under warranty ;)

Ive only had the car a few months and i did not get it from a Fiat dealer hence the call to fiat. I must admit ive been having more problems with this car than any of my many other fiats ive owned:(.
1/ Loosing Coolant out of the EGR cover, had to buy new cover.
2/ESP/Hillstart/Traction Cont not working, needs new Yaw sensor (still in progress)
Last but not least The "Change Oil Warning Light" came on last night and yes its had an Oil change:bang:
TO MANY ELECTRONIC BULLMUCK GIZZMOS , I think I should of stuck to my trusty Panda.

Bet they didn't reset the oil degradation counter...

:(Another update of my esp/hillstart blah blah problems, no joy from Fiat, not covered by warranty(n) thanks a bunch:bang:.So Im off to find my Yaw sensor (somewhere near the gear lever). Ive seen some on the BAy at least. The one thing Ive found with this Yaw/n sensor is that it works, as in when I park the car on the flat it sometimes works but my driveway is on a slant so I'm stuffed:(
Any way If you have a car over 3 years (mine is not) or over 60000 miles (mine was) you are stuffed!, after owning 10+ Fiats this has been the most trouble but still Ive got my Panda4x4 that rock and always will:slayer:

I've just started getting esp/ hill hold unavailable light/error showing up every time I start my 1.4 sporting.. Trying to get my obd2 to find the error code. Have you sorted this problem then?

Sorry for the long delay. NO I did not get the job done under warrenty:( BUT Ive fixed the fault MYSELF!!(y), there was nothing wrong with the sensor at all, Just a broken wire on the plug going into the sensor:bang:.
The hand brake gator was catching on the plug of the Yaw sensor so If you have an EVO its a good thing to keep an eye on.(y)
Ive since have sold the Evo  but dont worry its be replaced with a Panda MJ 4x4 2013:slayer:
