Hey all ive traded my 1.4early GBT for a brand new GBT. Its a compleatly different car with extra interior styling, lovely new sport seats. The only thing is that it is a 1.2. Which the insurance people love (only being 20).
Anyway im only returning 37mpg at the moment where as the 1.4 would be returning 44mpg on the same run and same driving style.

Is this normal for a car with only 100miles on the clock... will it improve as it runs in. First new car i have had... will appriciate any advice

Nice if you have some pics don't hesitate ;)

The 1.2 is a bit light but of course when it is break in you will have a better MPG (I am a bit lower with my 1.4 8V, about 36-40 MPG)

I get 50mpg 65 mile commute on motorway between 60-70mpg in my 3 yr old 1.4 16v multiair which i think is a great little car.

All good advice thanks :)
Ill put some piccys up when its had a wash ;).
Also picked up a 500c for the Mrs today... shes very happy with it :)

Heres some pics as promised :D

Just looked on site they have changed everything on the punto you have the correct seats. They look so much better then the new sporting ones. Also multiair turbo has been dropped for some reason maybe due to it not being that much slower then the abarth.

Nice white one with great seats :)

Ho no they dropped the 135CV in England too :(:(:(

Don't understand why Fiat is doing with the Punto

I think this is rather because of the cost of this engine.
Sad thing.

Ah goodo yeah its compleatly different to my last one in terms of quality,

Hmm abarth.. fancy that one next :)

I've got the TA,
nice interior and feels solidy built - ride can be a bit choppy - BUT an OK compromise car.

I've got 3 k on mine now - about to get 1st oil change, first 500 miles was hardwork as the engine was SOOoo tight,
MPG will improve- but as stated it's a BIG body for a small engine,

Charlie

Yeah already its improving.. took it up motorway today and averaged 43mpg :)
Going up to Swansea tomorrow to LongLife to have a sexy back box put on :) cant have a compleatly refined car now can we :)

Well heres the new exhaust! Sounds lovely very deep but quite when ya want it too... Extreamly happy!

Ok not updated this post in a while, car is now on 7000k and running lovely. Body work still immaculate, seats are a pain in the arse to keep clean!!
Just put a pipercross panel filter in aslong as the back box, gives it better tourque and smoother acceleration...
Returning About 40mpg on a 4mile commute which is respectful for the conditions.

Anyone got any new additions to the driveway?
