Been ringing round to get prices on first service for a multiair turbo all came to £300 or £180 for what I would call a oil service seems so high to me cheaper for my brother to get his focus st serviced.. Is it ok to supply fiat the parts for the service?

Sparks Plugs
Oil
Oil filter
Air filter
Pollen filter

Total £100 all oem parts.

Am I missing anything?

who have you rang? avoid salmons even if they are cheapest they wont do half the work.

there is a lot more to it than just replacing stuff, they check a load of stuff too.

you are aloud to use any vat registered garage as long as they use oem parts, give gary a call at langham test centre 01206 273829 ask how much if you provide parts and fluids

i'd also try glyn hopkins ipswich quote fiat forum member. dont forget a good main dealer will also do any ecu updated needed

Glynn hopkins was the most even after the discount they wanted £330 salmons was best price at £290. Salmon have just agreed to do a low miles service for £110 which is a oil and oil filter change with checks. They are willing to fit spark plus for extra £25. Perfer to get first service done at fiat then go to Avanti Autos for second service onwards. So might just go with salmons even if I think they are the worst fiat garage still stuck in the past. Car has only done 10k so far but was ex demo so want to get it done early. I might just change pollen filter and air filter my self such a easy job. Comes to £170 with salmon including me getting the plugs. Will be £200 if I do the air and pollen filter my self fiat said this was ok as not due to be changed till 2nd year service so warranty will be fine.

salmons could do more harm than good, they will chuck in any old oil they have some times under fill some times over, they will either over or under tighten sump drain plug, strip the threads on head putting in spark plugs, and for good measure wash your car with a grit filled sponge

You have to do the first service at 30'000km or 2 years. I dont know the prices in your country, but per year it is not so high.

For the 120 T-Jet first service, it was around 250€ in my country.

I cant believe Ford Focus is Cheaper, on my Fiesta ST services was between 350€ and 650€ !

Thanks Dave have told them to stick it now never really got on with them. Glynn hopkins Ipswich rang me back told me car really does not need any service till year old but a oil and oil filter change wont do it any harm. Have ordered oil and oil filter from shop 4 parts will take it to garage to be done. Will get 18k service done when im actually at 18k.
