I have just bought an airvent with the 68r port for the tomtom as someone told me its just a charging port but i thought there would be wires hanging out the bottom of the port but theres not? and theres 8 pins ? does anyone know how to wire this? thanks

IF you have a high enough spec then a multiplug should be tucked behind the dash somewhere, otherwise you'll have to persuade someone to check where the wires go (Blue&me unit i think)
