Hi, thinking of buying a 62 plate 1.2 new type punto 'to replace my 6 year old 100hp panda
Needs some info before parting with my cash.
The car is the easy model that as a brio pack fitted .
Questions
What's the real life mpg like on the 1.2 ?
Also does this model have outside temp warning 'and multi configurable computer.?
What's reliability like ?
Is start /stop standard along with ESP.

Fiat,s web site is very poor with any detailed info.
So I'm hoping some owners out there can help.......thanks

Hi !

MPG depend on your drive and right foot :)
I have th 1.4 8S 77 and at best I am at 5.8l/100 and "at bad" 6.5l/100 ( 48 - 43 uk MPG).

You have outside temp if you take electrical mirrors.

What is multi configurable computer ???

Start and stop is always here, even without ESP.

Reliability should be fine, engine well know and Punto 2012 too. (based on Evo, based on Grande Punto).

Thanks for reply, multi configurable computer on my panda gives info on,average speed how much fuel left in tank etc ,and you can also set up a warning speed alert ,amongst other things...like locking the cars doors. ......Is this on the punto ?.

Expect it to be slow after the panda.... the 1.2 is a bit under powered unless you tootle around in town for most of the time.....

I'd look at at least the 1.4

(i had a 2006 1.2 8v grande active and now have a 1.4 8v evo and there is a big difference despite the book figures been similar...)

They both have the same drinking habits though back road drive to work its averaging about 40mpg on a long A road run i can eek 48 -50 mpg out of it..... Motorways about 42........

The easy looks to be the old Dynamic spec...

know the early "pop" kept the old grande dashboard abroad atleast

Probably easier to either request a brochure from fiat or pick one up in the dealerships

These items are certainly fitted to my March 2012 GTB diesel. I would certainly look for a used one if you can find what you want - I bought my car 6 months old with 1500 miles and saved nearly £5000 off the list price of a new one.
I love the GTB trim as it has the bodykit and sports suspension. My car has the 68R tom tom connection which is brilliant.
I average 500 miles a week and my average fuel consumption during my ownership is just over 62mpg and improving (12000 miles covered in just over 5 months).

You welcome ;)

Yes you have all these options, even on mine (1.4 8V "easy" + electric mirror + tom tom "fixture" + metalized paint + separable rear seat as only options...) low cost punto :)

But ask you dealer to be sure, this is not the same in all countries...
