New user, be nice!

Is the wiper motor a big job to remove?

I suspect that the fact that that when it is running from the permanent supply it is:-

a) jerky.

and

b) there's a zit noise from it.

I reckon the permanent brush is on it's way out.

So do I ignore it or fix it?

Ok, I'll be nice, read the rules :)

Anyway, stupidness over.

First things first, this is obviously not the punto 2012 (The grande facelift version 2) and more so a punto Mk1 or Mk2.

As for removal of the wiper motor, I'm sure you need to undo the scuttle panel, remove the wiper linkage from the motor arm, remove the nuts/bolts, unplug the wiper motor and jobs done, refit is reverse of removal.

Hi John, welcome to the forum :)

If it is a Punto 2012, then it's surely still under warranty so take it back to the dealer. If not, then let us know what you've got so this post can be moved to the right place so that you get relevant advice (y)

That'll teach me.

It's a 2000 car, so I shall bow my head in shame and leave the 2012 to the more fortunate!
