My friend has just bought a 1.4 punto easy and we realised it doesnt have an engine tray, anyone know if its avalible as an optional extra or avalible aftermarket?
My Mk2 HGT had it too...
But I prefere without, it is more easy to see under the engine bay and if you have to do something you have not to spend time to remove this tray cover first...
I think "high end" versions have this, under the Punto evo there is not only the tray but all under the car there is some plastics (reducing at 2 points per side to jack the car); perhaps it ts to reduce the "air friction" and lower emissions / fuel consumption ?
Ha yes never thinked in that.. can be a good thing in water to warm the engine waster.could for well be
But think about that engine cover - it keeps the heat in to help it warm up in the winter
Prevents the Sump and other underside parts been ground away by road grime - less likely to need a sump change is a win win idea for me tbh....
