The Start-Stop only works in certain conditions (ie not when the Aircon is running, not when the engine is cold etc) so you may find it ok. Im just abit wary from the point of view of it not allowing the turbo to cool down gradually, which is something i try to do in turbo engines.



That's very good. The website is known to have mistakes, but maybe you just found a particularly accomodating dealer. Either way it's nice to save a few quid!

Maybe I should have checked before hand, Aston Martin or Lamborghini may have been a better call! I'll be honest, my aircon is pretty much always on so probably won't kick in anyway. Here's a weird one, the 16" alloys are free on the configurator, talk about cheap upgrade

I popped into my local dealers yesterday, I can tell you an internal "feature" that still has not changed. Just to the left of the drivers left leg there is a little plastic vent that sticks out and catches your trousers when you try to push the clutch in.

It was sticking out on the one in the showroom.

Not a good advert for a brand new car IMO.

Seats were much more comfortable than my evo though.

Anyway we have ordered our Easy with Exotic red paint and the options of the full blue & me and cruise control

Yep that's what I thought but hey I'll wait. So long as I have it for Sept I won't mind.

(I haven't read through the whole thread) Seems to me on first impression the new '2012 punto' is same as evo but they changed that awful front end that cost them sales big time!

Ordered a lounge version so the wait begins as it did with my 500 4 years ago.

Exactly right.

If they had kept the original shape and improved the interior, plus added quietness and more kit, they would have maintained sales. The suspension of the Linea (same chassis as the Punto) is tweaked to offer a very soft, quiet and comfortable ride. It rolls a bit but the comfort is unsurpassed in this segment. Fiat might have gone down the path of offering the most comfortable, best equipped B segement hatchback by fitting the Linea bushings etc., and watched what happened. Some people just love a quiet comfortable car and a cushioned ride on our roads would have been a unique selling point. Instead Fiat has lost sales and probably won't recover them. The design hash-up was a big mistake and must have cost a fortune.

Having said that, the latest front end is very smart and the Punto is again the best looking car in the segment, I think

Approx 13 weeks which takes us into at least august and as i remember Fiat give their workers all of august off as their annual leave so it looks like a 62 reg for us both

Wow quick update, mine will be ready to collect before the end of the month!! now i did not expect that as i specced it up a lot

I don't have a Punto 2012 yet but the Multiair 1.4 Easy looks attractive. 105 bhp in a Punto body and plenty of torque sounds like a better combination than my 1.4 95bhp Stilo.

Well loving it already takes a bit of getting use to stop/start etc but the sun came out and it makes the colour look even better

Yes not long for you now it`s more comfortable than my last punto 2004 model hgt diesel you felt every bump in that .
As for your pictures while you type in a reply below the post icons, just below your message it says additional options just click on manage attachments and you can upload 5 pics at a time
