Currently v2.3 of fiatecuscan has a bug and will not connect to any ECU's unless you pay for a license. v2.3.1 is due shortly to fix this issue, in the meantime has anyone got an old version such as v2.2.1 that they could send me?! Thanks ![]()

I have opened up the plug and i can see numbers 1, 8 , 9, 16 on the back i am guessing i can then work out pins 3 and 7 based on those? Just want to double check. Image of plug below Thanks,

Its an industry standard but can others confirm the info is all appropriate for Fiats. Pin 1 - Ignition positive Pin 2 - Pin 3 - Data Tacho / MUX network Late generation Pin 4 - Chassis ground Pin 5 - Chassis ground Pin 6 - Data Climate control/CAN High ('IS' Late generation) Pin 7 - K Line Data Engine management / Automatic gearbox management Pin 8 - Cooling fan control information / MUX network Late generation Pin 9 - Charge information Pin 10 - Pin 11 - Data BSI Pin 12 - K Line Data ABS/ESP/GEP/Suspension control Pin 13 - Data Air Bag/Headlight control Pin 14 - CAN Low('IS'.. Late generation) Pin 15 - Data Engine management Pin 16 - Battery positive I presume Yani means fit a switch to make or break the link between pins 3 and 7.

I currently have an OBD-II reader but I keep getting the same errors even when replacing faulty sensors so voltage outputs could be useful Tony

Software and cable requirements http://www.fiatecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx Main connector cable http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ELM-327-USB-1-...item4154aec206 Adaptor cables for ABS, air bag, steering. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Airbag-ABS-P-S...item25628c5f46

I read various threads on here that gave various tips of what did and didn't work. This is what worked for me. Downloaded the free version of the fiatecuscan software . Used a KKL VAG COM interface connector with the red adaptor cable from the fiat ecuscan adaptor leads. Identified the fault to the passenger airbag isolation switch and was then able to clear the fault to turn off the light. Great sevice and help from www dot gendan dot co dot uk I hope this helps others along the way. I don't think you can do it with the ELM 327 interface.
