Hi all, I am fitting a remote central door lock kit at the weekend and i believe that the punto mk11 is -ve pulse. I am fine with that but can anyone explain what is the difference between the two?????
also where is the best place to make the connections to the central locking ?

many thanks

thanks for quick reply , but what is a negative trigger? what is a positive trigger, i'm guessing the answer is really simple and i am just thick

thanks

is it for an alarm/remote locking? IIRC the trigger wires on the standard c/l system are white and light blue. one triggers the doors to unlock when they get a -ve pulse and the other triggers them to unlock on a -ve pulse. if the alarm/remote locking device gives out a -ve pulse then its simply a case of connecting the trigger wires from the alarm/remote locking device to the c/l trigger wires (doesnt matter if you do it on the pass side or drivers side, it will still activate all the locks.)
if the doors lock when there supposed to open or ice versa, switch the triggers around ;)

not an alarm , just remote locking , Haynes manual should arrive in the morning so should be able to sort the wires from that
cheers
