hi all, my gf was driving along the other night and noticed a red light appear on the dash. the light looks like a person with a seatbelt or something.

just wondering wtf this means? i have scoured thru the haynes manual which proved yet again to be of no use, so i thought id ask the real experts

also at the time the (!) red light was on, but its gone now [?]

i've got the same problem mate, its the air bag light, i think mines due to me putting a new steering wheel on though. its a standard replacement official fiat one in two tone leather and i ant a clue whats wrong?

can anybody help me aswell please guys?!

hmmm well i (or she) havent tampered with anything on the car at all. the light just came on last night for no apparent reason [}]

thats your handbrake light, it should be on whenever you start the car with handbrake on, probably she just didn't put the handbrake all the way down, i got a clue why your airbag light would have come on though....however i have found out why mine is staying on...some might say leave it to the professionals!

Had a look in my car tonight mate and i think i might have told you wrong about that light being your air bag light coz theres two symbols which look like bloke wearing a seatbelt, the one your on about indicates whether or not the drivers seatbelt is fastened i think, it doesn't work on mine though, maybe its just on certain models i dunno? i have an elx by the way

My SX doesn't have a seatbelt light; anyone know if it should?
