Ok I know that this is a pretty common problem, and thats it's an easy fix but my mk1 60SX sump is showing some pretty bad rust, it doesn't appear to have rusted through or to be leaking oil though.

Just wondering should I replace it now anyway (rather have it cause a problem further down the line) or is there some way I can protect it and stop it rusting anymore?

Replace it now, before you wake up one morning to an oil slick.

Sumps are about £65 from shop4parts. Did my wife's Sporting last year.

Should have seen the state of the drive and road when I left mine longer than I should. Neighbours werent happy.
