I want to change the timing belt on my punto 1.6 8V.

The manual talks about a special tool for tensioning the belt. I presume this is just a rod of known lenth with a weight on the end, which you bolt onto the tensioner pulley. Does anyone know where I could find technical details for this tool, so I can make one?

just tightern it until you can just twist it 90 degreese in the middle of the longest point, if you are then still woried take it to garage for a check.
