There is a serious oil leak in my car.
For now, there is no machanical problem with the car's engine but the sight of such an oil leak is frightening.
I will let you see for yourself.
what should I do?
Thank you.

that is a cam cover gasket leak, cost you about a fiver to fix and is not in the slightest bit serious.

remove the 4 bolts (one under oil cap). clean the gasket surfaces up. fit new gasket, add a small amount of instant gasket / sillicone around where it lifts over the cam bearings at the edges, refit and jobs a good 'en

I just bought a new rocker cover gasket myself... shop4parts have them, also ebay shops have them - only cost about a fiver inc. postage...

I thought my car will end it's life shortly.
I thought wrong.

Thank you arc,Punto.Power,bassy-alex for your help.

:)

I'm feeling better now.

its not just puntos

its ANY fiat that uses a fire engine, the top camcover gasket are not very good. and they don't seal very well.
a new gasket and some sealant will cost you less than £6, and you can do it yourself wtih a 10mm socket, and a rag, literally 20-30mins for the most hamfisted of folk.

no they don't break down much atall, mine has never broken down. I just replace stuff at the correct times like it says in teh book, and use common sense, and its NEVER let me down.(y)
