Hi all

i was doing some work on my gf's 2004 Fiat Punto 1.2 16v yesterday, and had to tap into the permanent live on the stereo. I did blow the 7.5a fuse which i replaced, and the radio is working fine now.

however the heater is not. The fan doesn't seem to be working, nothing is blowing at all. Is it something i've done, or just a co-incidence? is there any link between the radio wiring and the heater controls?

Any help appreciated!

Not Yet. if the radio fuse had blown could it have blown the heater fuse too?

The fan controls are quite a way down the dashboard from the radio, so doubt i've knocked a plug out...?

Also, where is the heater matrix located?

If i don't fix this, i'm dead meat!

I dont know about the mk2 but in a mk1 the heater panel has a connection on the back of it, if that comes off then your heater will not work at all - no fan, no nothing. Could it be possible that when you were fitting the stereo that you may have disturbed this connection ?
