Technical HELP engine coding

can anyone help me ive had a service done on my 2001 punto, brought it back home and it keeps cutting out after like 10 mins. so they changed the plugs and that and it still kept doing it and the engine manament light was on. anyway they said it needed to be put on the computer then they said to me the engine had to be recoded all off a service at 21 tho. can you help me. t<font size="5"></font id="size5">hanks

well what ever it is if your car was runing fine before service then they have done something so make sure you DONT pay.

i had the car back today they said it was my key was faulty. used the spare for abit then it cut back out on me. so yet again they have had it back now there saying it could be the plugs. they said it needs propper plugs from fiat.

Was it a FIAT service or some shady garage? Either way, don't settle for anything less than your car getting fixed for free, and I'd demand a courtesy car too as it's their fault that yours won't go.

i have a mk 1 punto sx 85. my cuts of sometimes when im driving when i go down on the clutch to change gear, the revs just drop.
My problem is an electrical fault to the egininon barrel. When one wire it had to much pull in the wire .

Find out what make sparkplugs are used for the 1999+ 8V 1242cc model which i have they should be NGK BKR5EZ or Champion RC10YCC plugs. If it was me I would just replace them to be on the safe side.

the problem was the fuse had blown in the imobiliser relay so it was checking for the key at the set time but cause the fuce had gone the key wasnt being seen so it was cutting out.
