Hi all, new member here.

I,ve bought some sideskirts for my MK1 Punto. Unfortunately they are from a yellow sporting so I need to re-spray them to match my car colour which is midnight blue. The question I have for you guys is, where do I get the paint from?

have asked a local Fiat dealer but they don't supply it. I did try Halfords a couple of months ago for a colour match to re-spray a small patch on the car but I wasn't very happy with the results. The match wasn't that great. I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone could give me.

Thanks in advance (y)

Dave

Any paint specialist should be able to mix it up for u using the paint code. Midnight blue is 426A....it's a PPG paint I believe.
Don't forget that you aren't going to get a perfect match...the youngest your Mark 1 could be is at LEAST 7 years....paint fades.

I was gonna start the same thread, I've eactly the same colour blue, none of my local halfords sell it, nor do fiat themselves! wanted to do a cheap cover up of my locks but garages have quoted me £400  for both filling and spraying both doors, they said the whole door needs to be resprayed.

So crabbo_1 whats PPG Paint? -im no expert and could do with some help to.

Do you think its worth waiting to change my bumpers and having the whole car resprayed?

PPG is a paint manufacturer.

If your gonna be getting the car sprayed when u get new bumpers...then wait until then...might as well get it all done professionally rather than littles bits done unprofessionally. ( see my car for examples :p )

I get all my Midnight blue cans from a local paint supplier...they mix the paint especially and either aerosol can it or paint tin it depending what I am after. However Cambridgeshire is a bit of a journey for you if ya only want 1 can of spray ;) Have a look through the yellow pages...there has to be SUMWHERE that supplies paint near you.

theres bound to be one of these places around where you live.,.,
also its not the paint that fades its the laquer so thats why we buff most of the cars we paint.,.,.,nothing a buffer and some compound wont solve.,.,
