Hi everyone... completely newbie here. I've recently purchased a FIAT Punto SX and the security defect in the central locking is giving me a lot of grief. It apparently only takes a few seconds to open the car by sucking out vaccuum from the keyhole. In 6 weeks, it's already been broken into twice (after being parked for circa 30 mins). Is anyone here aware of this problem? Can it be solved?

Its apparently one of those "common security problems" we all hate to hear about. If there's another dead topic about this, sorry.

you could always fit deadlocks ,they cost about 20 -30 uk pounds here and are easy to fit, once fitted they can still break in but they have to climb in and out of the window,as steve said combine it with an alarm and you should be safer.just a thought are you sure the ex owner still doesn't have a key?? twice in six weeks in a short time span sounds a bit dodgy to me.http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Products_Solex__Door_Locks_103.html this is the locks i mentioned
